Fourth Annual Gathering of the Western Pennsylvania Corvette Clubs, Sunday, July 13, 2003.

The Altoona Corvette Club was first founded in 1969, to promote fellowship among Chevrolet Corvette owners. America's favorite sports car brings us together, but friendship and good times keep us coming back. We have also joined with other area Corvette Clubs to extend and promote fellowship. Over the past several years, the Altoona Corvette Club has included a large number of family memberships from Blair and surrounding counties of south central Pennsylvania. The annual Club dues for each family membership is $25.

The club holds monthly meetings on the third Thursday of each month. With the exception of December and a few outdoor meetings in the summer, we meet at the Creekside Inn at the Freedom Junction just off 1-99 south of Altoona. Social hour begins promptly at 8:00 PM. The corporate sponsor of the club is Thomas Chevrolet of Bedford. The adopted club charity is WALY Warmth. We also have a Club Store that has items having the Club Logo available for sale.

The club holds two major shows each year. They are: The THOMAS CRUISE-IN at Thomas Chevrolet in June in Bedford, PA and the VETTE AND CHEVY SHOW at DelGrosso Park in August in Tipton, PA. Both events significantly depend upon help from all club members. Most club members have a great time working together at these shows.

In addition to the shows, the club officially holds at least two other events each month. These activities vary according to season, and range from social events to Corvettes-at-Carlise to fun runs, etc. The monthly newsletter keeps members informed of events scheduled throughout the year. Each year culminates with a Christmas party in December.
