After four years of
dormancy, the North Pittsburgh Corvette Club was rejuvenated in the
spring of 2002. Presently, there are 58 members with 80 Corvettes,
ranging from a vintage 1954 to a 2003. Our club was founded by a small
group of Corvette owners dedicated to promoting and fostering their
admiration of the Corvette with others in the northern sections of
Pittsburgh. Additionally, it is the club's objective to help others less
fortunate while developing club camaraderie and having fun in the
process. For those who like the social scene, we offer a full schedule of events all year long. Regular monthly meetings are held at The Babcock, 3382 Babcock Boulevard, the second Tuesday of each month. Just because our "babies" are tucked away for the winter, it doesn't mean we can't party! Join us for a V.I.P. (Vetteless Inside Parties) held the last Thursday of each month during the winter season for members and anyone interested in socializing and sharing ideas regarding the classic American sports car at Jergel's, 3385 Babcock Boulevard. Guests are always welcome at our monthly meetings or one of our many club events. Beginning in April and running through September, we have our monthly car cruises at Jergel's the last Thursday of the month. The North Pittsburgh Corvette Club's signature event is an all Corvette cruise at our corporate sponsor's location, Baierl Chevrolet in Wexford, to benefit the SPARK of HOPE. We also have a North Pittsburgh Corvette Club Night featured car cruise at Northway Community Church in Wexford, and a Pig Roast at Sesqui Grove, North Park, which will be held on August 24, 2003. The club also participates in the Corvettes of Pennsylvania benefit Corvette cruise for the St. Barnabas Home at Tom Henry Chevrolet, Route 8. The North Pittsburgh Corvette Club joined the W.P.C.C.C. in 2002 and will be attending their picnic on July 13atBoycePark. Please spend some time visiting our web site, http://www.npcorvetteclub.org.
